Plan of Salvation
A Specific plan to salvation is clearly laid out in God's Word. Many people today try to skew the meaning of the Truth, but when laid out in front of you there is no other way to God except through Christ. As Christ states by his own words the following.
Matthew 28:18 - And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.'
If Christ has all Authority in heaven and on earth then what he says must be followed! Christ also states in the Gospel
John 14:6 - Jesus *said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.'
Hear
We must Hear God's word. God's word in itself will convict the soul!
- Romans 10:17 - 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ
Believe
We must believe the Gospel and that Jesus is God's one and only son that was sent to earth to pay for our sins.
- Hebrews 11:6 - 6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
- John 20:31 - 31 but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.
Repent
We must repent of our sins. Repent means to turn away from the world and to walk with God.
- Luke 13:3 - 3 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
- Acts 17:30 - 30 Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent.
- Acts 2:38 - 38 Peter said to them, 'Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'
Confess
We must confess Christ before man.
- Romans 10:10 - 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
- Matthew 10:32 - 32 'Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven'
Baptism
We must be immersed into Christ for the remission of sins and for the indwelling gift of the Holy Spirit.
- Mark 16:16 - 16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
- Acts 2:38 - 38 Peter said to them, 'Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'
- Galations 3:27 - 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Live Faithfully
Once a child of Christ we must walk with Christ striving to live for him. You CAN fall out of Grace!
- Revelations 2:10 - 10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be (A)tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
